The content of our teaching will center around the theme of “RE-.” I want to challenge our students in their faith from the book of Judges. It’s fascinating what we can learn by seeing the mistakes of others. I want to follow the pattern we see in Judges by calling our students to remember God, repent from their sin, renew their desire to follow Jesus, and commit to remain steadfast in their faith.

FAQs

    • Any prescription medication you take (which will be given to the nurse)

    • Pillow

    • Bath Towel <--- Don't forget this. :)

    • Toiletries (remember DEODORANT)

    • Active/Outdoor Shoes (close-toed)

    • Clothes/socks/underwear (hopefully you know this)

      • Clothes for running around outside (shorts, sweatpants, jackets, etc.)

      • Clothes to wear inside during sessions, eating, etc. (jeans, shorts, t-shirts, hoodies, dresses, etc.)

    • Appropriate sleepwear

    • Bible/Pen/Journal

    • Snacks to share with your room
(optional, but please be aware of any food allergies in your cabin before eating)

    • You can bring playing cards or other board games but are responsible for not losing them.

    • Anything illegal

    • Phones (all leaders will have phones. Those numbers will be on the information packet)

    • Videogames / etc

    • Fireworks, guns, knives, drugs, tobacco, vaping gear

    • Reading material other than your Bible (again, we ask this so you don't become a hermit during the weekend but instead jump all in)

    • Expensive personal items that you don’t want to potentially get lost or damaged

  • We ask that all students bring and wear close-toed shoes for safety reasons. If students would like to bring another pair of footwear (sandals, crocs, etc) for non-activity times, that is fine. There will be times that we will have free time in our lodge lounge. Students should have comfortable and appropriate clothes for evening/sleeping (avoiding for example cut open tank-tops, spaghetti straps, spandex shorts, or anything see-through in common areas). There are separate bathrooms for boys and girls, but there is a common area to access these bathrooms. Students will be asked/warned to make sure they are appropriately clothed walking between these two areas. Please follow the to-pack and not-to-pack list for other basic necessities your student will need for the weekend. For both boys and girls, my desire is for us honor God and others in the way we dress (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).

  • There are two main sleeping areas. with bunk-bed style beds. There will be one area for boys and one for girls. There is a common area in between these with access to boys and girls bathrooms.

  • All leaders for this trip will be FBC staff and volunteers. There will also be Hidden Acres Camp staff on-site as well serving food and assisting with activities.

  • Please include medical/medication information when you register your student. All medication will be kept with a medical leader and given to the student as needed or prescribed by the parent/prescription.

  • We plan to provide a few fundraising opportunities in the fall. I will let you know more details on those as we have those opportunities become available.
